The Dao of Tai Chi Chuan - Jou, Tsung Hwa (Hardcover)

In The Dao of Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan), the author, Jou, Tsung Hwa, himself bears witness to the ability of Tai-Chi to relieve the body of pent-up tension and rejuvenate the spirit in a thorough study of the techniques and classical texts of this ancient martial art. In order to create a serious textbook that explains the philosophy behind the movements of Taijiquan, he read all available books in both English and Chinese before writing The Dao of Tai Chi Chuan. The Tao Of Meditation - Jou, Tsung Hwa (Hardcover)

This is a practical work on meditation by Jou Tsung Hwa, the author of the Tao Of Tai Chi and the Tao of I Ching. Jou Tsung Hwa came to the martial arts relatively late in life at the age of 47 as a last ditch effort to regain his failing health and became a respected author and teacher of taijiquan and meditation. This text begins by setting a baseline of how we as three dimensional beings perceive reality. From there he sets the stage for extra dimensional experiences in the fourth dimension and beyond. The text includes a range of fundamental to advanced meditation postures, techniques and qigong exercises. Jou Tsung Hwa is now deceased, thankfully he left us his writings. Hardback copies of these texts have become quite collectible. All of the copies in the school store are used hardback copies in good condition.

Jiaogulan, Gynostemma - Tea

Jiaogulan herbal tea may be one of the healthiest teas known to man. The health benefits are so abundant that we can only briefly touch on them here. In southern China as well in other parts of Asia it is often referred to as "Magical Grass." Although the herb was first consumed by the southern Chinese, it was the Japanese who first conducted the studies in which the plant's unique sapponins were discovered. As it turns out the sapponins which give this plant its adptogenic quality are very similar to those of ginseng only more numerous and varied! This is particularly exciting because of the potential of jiaogulan to provide similar benefits of ginseng at a fraction of the cost.

Jiaogulan is vitalizing as well as calming, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, immune-regulating, improves breathing, supports the cardiovascular system and is known to be a digestive aid. We particularly like Jiaogulan for its wide-range stress handling (adaptogenic) properties.

Because of the abundant health benefits and supporting scientific data we suggest drinking jiogulan daily. It also makes a nice iced tea and can be steeped multiple times. Steep no longer than 1-2 minutes as it can get bitter.

We proudly carry Tea Vue brand loose leaf Jiaogulan. We believe this is the best tasting and highest quality jiaoulan available.
